A Relaxing Day at Jomtien Beach, Pattaya

Clear blue sky.  Blue and green water and fresh, clean wind that blows your heart to happiness. By simply looking at the Jomtien Beach at Pattaya in the gulf of Thailand, anyone can feel the comfort and relaxation that cannot be found in a busy and noisy surrounding. You can bring your family from Bangkok and spend a few days at the beach at Jomtien  as a treat.

Jomtien just south of Pattaya has one of the most famous beaches in Thailand with tens of thousands of visitors each year. One can simply be contented at the sight and the Thai food offered in the resorts and restaurants.

The beach is only a ten minutes drive from the center of Pattaya. You can also ride the songthaew for 10 Baht. A songthaew is normally a refitted pickup truck, but in many places minibuses are also used.

For those people who want action, Jomtien Beach has some exciting activities to offer. There are several water sports activities which you can try. You can rent and drive speedboats or jet skis, take a banana boat or do parasailing.

You can also snorkel and swim the clear waters. You can try go-kart racing as well. When you get hungry, there are numerous stalls on the beach that sell food and beverages. Buy delicious seafood and exquisite drinks.

There are many new resorts, condominiums, hotels, restaurants and shops in Jomtien. As more tourists come here and more foreigners settle here, there are numerous raised establishments that cater to their needs. There are many shopping stores, a floating market and vendors around.

If you want a great night, you can watch cultural shows at Alangkarn, go to a ladyboy show or you can drink some beer to unwind. Dining is at its best when you come to the right restaurant. There are Chinese, British, Swiss, German, Italian, Indian and Russian dishes in some dining places.
