Wat Mahathat

The most famous attraction on the Ayutthaya day tour is the “Buddha head in a Banyan tree” at Wat Mahathat. The Buddha in the Tree is the head of a Buddha statue intertwined with tree roots. In Thai and many other Buddhist cultures this has a special mystical meaning and people are coming from all over the world to see the famous image.

Wat Phra Sri Sanphet

Wat Phra Si Sanphet (The Temple of The Buddha Si Sanphet) was the most important temple in the Kingdom of Ayutthaya. It was a part of the Royal Palace, the large monastery was used by the Ayutthaya Kings only, therefore there were no resident monks. The temple is not only a historical site, it was also considered as the spiritual center of the Thai people for a long time.

Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon

The temple was founded in the second half of the 14th century during the reign of King U Thong, first ruler of Ayutthaya. Unlike many other ancient sites in Ayutthaya, this temple is still active and monks still reside here. The Thai people visit this temple to pay homage to one of the most respected kings in Thai history, King Naresuan The Great as well as pay respects to Buddha.

It is important to show respect for temples in Thailand. These sites are incredibly important to the Thai people and as visitors it is important that you respect that. This means appropriate dress – light colors and no black clothing and nothing too sexy or revealing. Some temples will even deny access to people who dress inappropriately, and you surely don’t want to be one of the rude tourists that get nasty looks and comments from these otherwise very friendly and hospitable people.

With my recently concluded trip to Ayutthaya, Frank successfully gave me memories to last forever. My driver was Tong, and the car (Camry) was clean, comfty (I slept on my way back to the hotel) and cool. The driver's knowledge of the area was astounding.

We had a very comfortable and safe trip to Ayutthaya with kids (aged 3 and 7). The Toyota Inova was clean, comes with complimentary Wifi and even movies for the kids to enjoy. Our driver Arnon was also very accommodating and understanding and we had a fun and enjoyable time touring with him. Arnon was also able to recommend us locate Halal restaurants for us to have lunch too and helped entertain the children while we did our midday prayers. Thanks very much!

We requested a customized itinerary from Bangkok to Ayutthaya, with 4 stops including a restaurant off the beaten path. Our driver Samer arrived in a large, clean van equipped with iced water. He was prompt at pick up and available whenever we were ready to move on. He was courteous, drove well and with certainty. Our 10-hour reservation ended perfectly when we were dropped back off at the hotel 9.75 hours later. Samer and the dispatcher Frank both gave us a high level of confidence and I would not hesitate working with them again the next time we visit Bangkok.

I would definitely recommend Bangkok Beyond for any trip you need to make. My first trip was booked through another company and was terrifying. I.e. five hours with a taxi driver that fell asleep three times and who did not speak English, so I could not keep him awake by talking. After this experience, I did not want to take any risk anymore, and booked my transfer to the airport with Bangkok Beyond. Just for this short transfer I got a driver, Jackris, who spoke English, loved his job, was well rested, and drove safely. Definitely worth the money to be safe in Thailand traffic!

We had a great one-day tour to kanchanaburi with guide Tao and driver Sam. From booking to the actual tour, no hiccups and everything went smoothly. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻to beyond bangkok. The 12-hour trip to the death railway and hellfire pass was excellent. Highly recommend beyond bangkok for their service.

We had an excellent experience with the private van service from Bangkok Beyond.First up, Cherry and her administrative team were excellent. They were very informative, clear, and detailed oriented during our planning process. We wanted to travel to a few locations outside Bangkok (Ayutthaya/Amphawa) and Cherry was very responsive in communicating and responding to all my questions. I appreciate the upfront cost and breakdown of the pricing structure for our trip. The travel voucher with summary breakdown is an excellent touch which made everything official and kept us at ease. The quick response from her team via email communication prior to my arrival to Thailand really gave me a peace of mind.Additionally, the day of the trip was excellent since the driver (Sam and team) were professional and courteous. I hired Beyond Bangkok for a 5 full day driver and car. I requested an English speaking driver and provided an itinerary in advance. I also asked to have the driver escort me on the weekend market visit. Jackris, the driver, was outstanding. Polite, thoughtful, always on time (early), a great driver and a person I felt comfortable and safe with immediately. It was beyond great value and I recommend this service 100 percent. This alone made my visit to Bangkok an easy and seamless way to navigate a big city where I did not speak Thai. Thank you to Jackris and Alec who set everything up.
