Bangkok Canal Tour and Wat Arun – Temple of Dawn – Book now
Board a long tail boat and take a journey on the Chao Phraya river, also known as The River of Kings, and into the ancient canals of Bangkok. Stop by Wat Arun, Temple of Dawn, for some scenic photos.
Wat Arun is called the Temple of Dawn because of the way it glows like white pearl in the morning sun. Afterwards you have the choice between visiting Jim Thompson House Museum or Vimanmek Mansion.
Boarding a boat and touring the canals of Bangkok is a great respite from the heat and traffic of the busy city. Here you will see how most people used to live and how many of the poor people of Bangkok still live today.
This is a half day tour and you have the choice of getting picked up in the morning or in the afternoon.
Jim Thompson was an American business man who helped revitalize the Thai silk trade. The house has been turned into a museum displaying his collection of Thai and Asian art. Visit the museum to learn about his legacy.
Vimanmek Mansion is the world’s largest golden teakwood building and was a former royal palace. Now it is a museum displaying the personal photos, art and handicrafts of Rama V.
