It was constructed by the Japanese during World War II as the Burma Railway between Thailand and Burma. The project came at such a cost of human life where the Allied of POWs forced to assist building the Death Railway. Only the outer ends of the first bridge remain; the rest was bombed by Allied forces in 1945 but the bridge is still impressive even today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n With only 3 hours away by drive, it is the most accessible national park from Bangkok that you shouldn\u2019t miss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Visitors can explore, hike and go for a swim in the middle of the jungle. You can also explore a cave or another hiking trail in the national park.
