It is commonly known by locals by the name Muang Pak Nam which means \u201cThe mouth of a river\u201d. The place is just 25 kilometers from Bangkok and can be reached easily by car or bus. It is a plain of 1,004 kilometers thriving with nipa and palm trees, mangroves, groves of Samae, orchards, prongs and nurtured patty fields. The muddy plains are intersected with canals to avoid flooding. <em>Khanom Chak<\/em>, a sweetened sticky rice delicacy, is known by locals which thrills the taste buds of the avid traveller.<\/p>\n<p>Several man-made tourist spots are found in this province. One of the most visited is the <em>\u201cDinosaur Museum\u201d<\/em>. The museum built exclusively for dinosaur replicas is situated in the compound of a crocodile farm and zoo.<\/p>\n<p>The dinosaur models are fascinating and thought-provoking. A theme park called <em>\u201cThe Ancient City\u201d<\/em> is the world\u2019s largest open-air museum. It displays the well-known tourist spots in Thailand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is a favorite picnic spot of Thai families. Naval Museum and Erawan Museum are also museums to visit if you are interested in further understanding of Thailand history.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Bang Pu<\/em> Seaside invites many people for its scenic sunsets and delightful eateries. Boat racing is a sports activity that entices both local and foreign visitors in Phra Praedeng during the 11th lunar month.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Phra Samut Chedi Festival is more popular and celebrated with a candle light procession and boat races as a tribute to the Chedi. <em>Yon Bua Festival<\/em> and <em>Luangpho Pan Fair<\/em> are two other festivities that call for tourists in <strong>Samut Prakarn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Samut Prakarn is a province in central Thailand located by the mouth of the Chao Phraya River.
