The division of regions are made to meet these purposes and create order.

Thailand, though has two ways of dividing its regions. The six-region system is used for geographical studies. The six regions of Thailand are: Northern Thailand, North-eastern, Central, Western, Eastern and Southern Thailand.

The other way is the four-region system which is for the purpose of the administrative system developed by the Ministry of Interior. The four regions are: Northern Thailand, North-eastern Thailand, Central Thailand and Southern Thailand. It is obvious that the latter regions are the largest subdivisions of the Thai country.

Northern

Chiang Mai – Northern Region

If you happen to come to the northern region of Thailand, you will find that Chiang Mai is the chilliest part because this is a mountainous part.
