The gardens is set over 600 acres of land and was originally used as a plantation to grow tropical fruits such as mango and orange as well as coconuts. Some of the many highlights include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>French Garden<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This ambitious 17<sup>th<\/sup> Century French garden with its intricate, symmetrical design was inspired by the garden of Versailles and is intriguingly set against a backdrop of Thai temples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Orchid Garden<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 600 different varieties of orchid from around the world are on display in this exquisitely presented nursery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cactus Garden<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bangkokbeyond.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cactus-538813_640.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"640\" height=\"461\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bangkokbeyond.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cactus-538813_640.jpg\" alt=\"Small cactuses in Nong Nooch garden \" class=\"wp-image-9120\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bangkokbeyond.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cactus-538813_640.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.bangkokbeyond.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cactus-538813_640-300x216.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s certainly unusual seeing wild cactuses in a country as humid as Thailand, but Nong Nooch has succeeded in growing hundreds of different species of cactuses and other succulent plants here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stonehenge Garden <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A geometrical garden with painstakingly arranged stone features dedicated to the famous landmark in England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tropical Palm Garden<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A fantastic collection of rare and unique palm trees including Asian, New Caledonian and American palm trees can be found here along with a large collection of cycads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Randomly, there is also a section called \u201cCar Garden\u201d, an area dedicated entirely to showcasing a variety of sports cars. But hey, this is Thailand and you learn to expect the unexpected. A cultural show with traditional Thai dancing, elephant riding and shows are also featured.
