PhotoBangkok 2018<\/strong> is now back to offer a unique experience and opportunity for everyone may it be professionals, students, newbies, the general public are very welcome to attend in this in-depth educational programs led by experts in the field of contemporary photography around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primal goal of this event is to be a platform for supporting young Thai and Asian photographers and emerging artist in the photographic community, these educational programs have been developed in partnership with The Museum of Photography in Seoul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hailed as one of Bangkok\u2019s grandest photography festivals every year that draws over 100,000 attendees \u2013 has led the organizers to partner once again with the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). Happening between June 28 until September 9, a wide range of photographic events will take place through collaborations with 24 galleries around the city with like-minded institutional partners that include\u00a0Ratchadamnoen Contemporary Art Centre, French and Spanish Embassy, Goethe Institut, PhotoEspa\u00f1a, Japan Foundation, and Bangkok University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Various photo exhibitions are showcased at more than 32 galleries and art spaces around Bangkok, throughout the course of the event. With its theme \u2014 Post-Repost-Share<\/strong>, it analyzes\u00a0the modern relationship between photographers and viewers and became the main exhibition of this event. There are also seminars, talks, symposia, and many more activities will take place in various venues across the city. \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And for the first time, they have even added a smartphone photo contest \u2014 Beautiful Bangkok: Smartphone Photo Contest<\/strong>,\u00a0in which anyone can compete to have their work selected and displayed on the walls of the BACC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organizers also created an international symposium, portfolio review sessions, and workshops in collaboration with invited international artists and curators.\u00a0Bangkok Photo Festival\u00a0continues on its mission to pave a path of creating ambitious photographic exhibitions and knowledge-sharing programs \u2013 and making sure that they are fun and accessible to everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
