Without a doubt the spiciest curry on sale in Bangkok (outside of the Indian restaurants of course!) is “Gaeng Phet” which literally means ‘spicy curry’.

The curry gets its distinctive red color from the tons of small red chilies that are used to make the paste, while as many as 20 other additional ingredients are blended into this appetizing mix.

Rich and sweetly delicious, if a little too hot to handle for some tastes, it is nevertheless a favorite of most foreigners who come to Thailand.
