Pathum Thani City is the capital city of Pathum Thani province which bears the history of the famous Kingdom of Ayutthaya. King Rama II gave the Sam Khok town the name Prathum Thani or The Town of Lotus. As the years go by, the town became a part of the greater Bangkok area known as Pathum Thani.
